About
A 6-week opportunity to gain role experience in a fully staged production in original language with four performances in historic John M. Hall Auditorium and the state-of-the-art Great Lakes Center for the Arts. Vocal study at the Bay View Music Festival is designed to provide singers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the study of vocal technique, operatic, art song, role preparation, stage presentation, acting technique and skills necessary to build a career in the arts. Upon completion of an audition, up to 20 singers (most double cast) will be accepted and cast in the two productions. Fees are all-inclusive, so additional expenses are minimal while at Bay View and include voice lessons, coachings, and staging rehearsals. A role in the mainstage opera and/or mainstage musical Performances will be accompanied by chamber orchestra. Artists will participate in musical for 2 performances. Performance practice class for singers (art song literature and performance) Four voice lessons Coachings with Conductor/Repetiteur Thriving in the Arts seminars on business skills for a career in music Weekly performance opportunities in recitals Participation in festival choir as section leader for work-study. Six weeks in a charming village on Lake Michigan in one of the most beautiful resort areas in the world. Total cost after scholarship ranges from $2,400-$3,000, including tuition, room, and board (Full price is $3600). Low application fee of $5 to Yaptracker.
